El Ministro de Finanzas de México, Edgar Amador, señaló que está "razonablemente confiado" sobre las proyecciones fiscales y de crecimiento del Tesoro para el año. El Financiero informó que las proyecciones de crecimiento económico del Ministerio de Finanzas anticipan un saludable crecimiento del 1.9% en 2025, en contraste con las estimaciones de una casi estancación, según la mayoría de los analistas. Amador agregó que está "razonablemente confiado" sobre las proyecciones fiscales y de crecimiento del Tesoro para el año. Sin embargo, advirtió que si el gobierno no cumple con su objetivo presupuestario, se espera que mantenga una postura restrictiva, incluso si la economía entra en recesión en la segunda mitad de 2025. El ministro de finanzas declaró que la relación entre EE.UU. y México ofrece un tratamiento preferencial, con bienes que cumplen con el T-MEC exentos de impuestos. Amador reconoce una perspectiva cerrada a medio plazo para el crecimiento y las finanzas públicas, añadiendo que espera una recesión en la segunda mitad del año.
