La inversión saudí dispara el vínculo estratégico con Estados Unidos La inversión anunciada por Arabia Saudita en territorio estadounidense marca un punto de inflexión en las relaciones bilaterales. Durante una visita oficial, la Casa Blanca confirmó compromisos por 600.000 millones de dólares en múltiples sectores, incluyendo defensa, tecnología, inteligencia artificial y energía.. Uno de los acuerdos centrales es una venta de defensa cercana a 142.000 millones de dólares , que proveerá al reino con equipamiento militar de última generación suministrado por más de una docena de empresas estadounidenses. Según sus palabras, esta decisión busca “darles una oportunidad de grandeza” en medio de un reordenamiento diplomático regional. Por su parte, el príncipe heredero Mohammed bin Salman subrayó que el objetivo es llevar la asociación a un nivel de 1 billón de dólares , cubriendo áreas estratégicas como seguridad, economía y tecnología. Economistas señalan que ejecutar esa visión será complejo, dado el peso financiero de los megaproyectos de Riad y la caída de precios del crudo. En el sector tecnológico , se destaca la participación de DataVolt , que planea invertir 20.000 millones de dólares en centros de datos de IA en EE. UU. Además, el total anunciado contempla 80.000 millones en compromisos conjuntos entre compañías como Google ( GOOGL ), Oracle ( ORCL ), Salesforce ( CRM ), AMD ( AMD ) y Uber ( UBER ) para proyectos tanto en suelo estadounidense como saudí.
