Según The Block, los analistas de JPMorgan afirmaron que los frecuentes incidentes de seguridad en DeFi y el estancamiento del tvl-7532">valor total bloqueado (TVL) en términos de ethereum-eth-143">ETH continúan limitando el interés institucional en DeFi. El informe mencionó que un reciente ataque a un puente entre cadenas relacionado con Kelp DAO llevó a una pérdida de aproximadamente $20 mil millones en TVL de DeFi en unos pocos días. Los atacantes acuñaron aproximadamente $292 millones en rsETH no asegurados y pidieron prestado ETH real en Aave usándolo como colateral, resultando en aproximadamente $230 millones en deuda incobrable. JPMorgan también señaló que después de los incidentes de seguridad, los usuarios tienden a recurrir a Tether's USDT por seguridad.
