The decentralized derivatives trading platform Variational has completed a $50 million Series A financing round, led by Dragonfly Capital
Según Fortune, la plataforma de trading de derivados descentralizados Variational anunció la culminación de una ronda de financiación Serie A de 50 millones de dólares, liderada por Dragonfly Capital, con la participación de Bain Capital Crypto y Coinbase Ventures.
La empresa tiene su sede en las Islas Caimán y se dedica a construir un protocolo de derivados en cadena para operadores financieros institucionales y tradicionales. Al agregar liquidez de las finanzas tradicionales y el mercado cripto, busca ofrecer un mercado en cadena para activos reales, como petróleo y materias primas, que puedan negociarse al instante. Su producto principal, la plataforma Omni, adopta un modelo de tarifa cero y combina un mecanismo de fondo de liquidez para mejorar la profundidad del mercado y la eficiencia de ejecución.
Variational afirmó que su objetivo no es competir directamente con los exchanges centralizados, sino conectar la liquidez de múltiples fuentes a través de un modelo de "estilo corretaje", que incluye creadores de mercado financieros tradicionales y plataformas de trading cripto convencionales, para abordar el problema del "arranque en frío de liquidez" en los mercados en cadena.
