El desarrollador comunitario Tom Lehman publicó el borrador del EIP-8182, proponiendo hacer de las transferencias de privacidad una característica nativa del protocolo Ethereum. El plan incluye la implementación de un pool blindado compartido con una dirección fija y precompilaciones de verificación a prueba de ZK para lograr un conjunto anónimo unificado; a través de una actualización de hard fork, no habrá claves de administrador ni token de gobernanza, manteniendo el modelo de confianza existente en Ethereum.
Este diseño admite transferencias completamente privadas dentro del pool y es compatible con billeteras y sistemas de direcciones existentes, con el objetivo de dirección los problemas de fragmentación en las aplicaciones de privacidad y las dependencias de confianza. Actualmente se encuentra todavía en la etapa de borrador.
