El presidente de Uzbekistán, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, firmó un decreto para establecer la zona especial de minería de criptomonedas "Besqala Mining Valley", con el objetivo de desarrollar la minería de energía verde y atraer inversiones internacionales.
Los mineros pueden vender activos de criptomonedas en bolsas locales y extranjeras, con ganancias que ingresan directamente a cuentas bancarias locales. En términos de política, los participantes en el área minera están exentos del impuesto sobre la renta hasta 2035 y solo necesitan pagar una comisión de gestión del 1% de sus ingresos; el precio de la electricidad se establece en 1800 som por kilovatio-hora, con excepciones preferenciales para proyectos de inversión de más de 100 millones de dólares. En cuanto al acceso, sólo pueden solicitarlo las empresas registradas localmente, que deben tener instalaciones eléctricas y aprobación de pases, y las personas responsables pertinentes no tienen antecedentes de delitos económicos.
