Borgden dijo durante una visita al centro financiero de Brasil, São Paulo: "En el futuro, es posible que veamos burbujas. Una es la burbuja criptomoneda, la segunda es la burbuja de IA, y la tercera es la burbuja de deuda". Añadió que desde 1945, los niveles de deuda de varios países nunca habían sido tan altos. Borgden señaló que si bien se espera que la IA traiga consigo ganancias significativas en productividad, también puede representar una amenaza para una gran cantidad de empleos de cuello blanco. "En el peor de los casos, podemos ver fenómenos similares al 'Cinturón de Óxido Estadounidense' en las principales ciudades, donde los empleos que involucran a un número significativo de posiciones administrativas y trabajadores de cuello blanco son reemplazados fácilmente por IA".
