به گزارش فوربس، اسکات بسنت، وزیر خزانهداری آمریکا اعلام کرد که خزانهداری این کشور نزدیک به ۵۰۰ میلیون دلار از داراییهای رمزارزی مرتبط با رژیم ایران، از جمله ۳۴۴ میلیون دلار مسدود شده در ماه گذشته را توقیف کرده است.
این گزارش میافزاید که ایران در حال حاضر حدود ۷.۷ میلیارد دلار دارایی دیجیتال در کنترل دارد و از BTC برای تسویه پرداختهای مربوط به بیمه کشتیرانی در تنگه هرمز استفاده میکند.
ایالات متحده در حال تشدید سرکوب فعالیتهای رمزارزی ایران است تا مسیرهای دور زدن تحریمها و انتقال وجوه را مسدود کند. فعالان صنعت میگویند که تراکنشهای رمزارزی همچنان قابل ردیابی هستند و آمریکا ممکن است با محدود کردن دسترسی صرافیهای رمزارزی به سیستم بانکی ایالات متحده، فشار بیشتری وارد کند.
