به گزارش CNBC، جیمز کومر، رئیس کمیته نظارت و اصلاح دولت مجلس نمایندگان، تحقیقاتی را درباره پلتفرمهای بازار پیشبینی Kalshi و Polymarket آغاز کرده و از هر دو شرکت خواسته است تا اقدامات خود برای جلوگیری از معاملات نهانی، از جمله احراز هویت، اجرای محدودیتهای جغرافیایی و مکانیسمهای نظارت بر معاملات غیرعادی را توضیح دهند. کومر اظهار داشت که سوابق داخلی این پلتفرمها، شواهد کلیدی برای شناسایی معاملهگران متخلف و تعیین این موضوع است که آیا این پلتفرمها به تعهدات قانونی خود عمل میکنند یا خیر.
پیش از این گزارش شده بود که Polymarket معاملات مشکوکی در رابطه با رویدادهای آمریکا در خصوص ایران و ونزوئلا داشته است؛ Kalshi نیز حسابهای سه نامزد کنگره را که روی نتایج انتخابات خود در این پلتفرم شرطبندی کرده بودند، مسدود کرده بود. کومر از هر دو شرکت خواسته است تا اسناد مربوطه را تا ۵ ژوئن ارائه دهند.
