BlockBeats News, 30 dicembre. Secondo LatePost, Meta ha acquisito la società di sviluppo di applicazioni AI Butterfly Effect per miliardi di dollari. Si tratta della terza acquisizione di Meta dalla sua fondazione, seconda solo a WhatsApp e ScaleAI. Prima dell'acquisizione da parte di Meta, Manus era nel bel mezzo di un nuovo round di finanziamento con una valutazione di 20 miliardi di dollari. "All'inizio, abbiamo quasi dubitato che si trattasse di un'offerta falsa", ha detto Liu Yuan, un partner di True Global Ventures e un angelo investitore in Butterfly Effect, riferendosi al processo di negoziazione estremamente breve che ha richiesto poco più di dieci giorni.
Inizialmente, il team fondatore era titubante, ma alla fine sono stati conquistati dalle condizioni e dalla visione delineate dal fondatore e CEO di Meta, Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg e diversi dirigenti principali sono anche fedeli utenti di Manus. Dopo l'acquisizione, Butterfly Effect continuerà a operare in modo indipendente, con il fondatore Xiao Hong che ricoprirà il ruolo di vicepresidente di Meta.
