Zgodnie z blogiem Robinhood, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) przyznał Robinhood Singapore Pte. Ltd. wstępną zgodę (IPA) na świadczenie usług maklerskich, torując drogę do uruchomienia kompleksowych usług maklerskich w Singapurze, w tym papierów wartościowych, instrumentów pochodnych notowanych na giełdzie, usług depozytowych, finansowania oraz produktów inwestycyjnych zbiorowych.
Singapur będzie siedzibą Robinhood w regionie Azji i Pacyfiku, uzupełniając licencję MAS Major Payment Institution (MPI), którą już posiada jego spółka zależna Bitstamp Asia Pte. Ltd., wzmacniając swoją obecność w regionie Azji i Pacyfiku. MAS podkreślił, że IPA nie jest równoważna formalnej licencji, a Robinhood musi nadal spełniać określone warunki, przy czym organ regulacyjny zachowuje prawo do cofnięcia IPA.
