BlockBeats News, le 12 novembre, Paul Atkins, président de la Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) des États-Unis, a présenté son plan de crypto « Token Classification Framework » pour distinguer clairement quelles cryptomonnaies sont considérées comme des titres, tandis que la SEC fait progresser la réglementation des actifs numériques d'une nouvelle manière.
Paul Atkins a déclaré que le cadre sera basé sur le critère Howey, auquel la SEC se réfère souvent pour déterminer si un actif constitue un contrat d'investissement et est donc considéré comme un titre. Paul Atkins a ensuite ajouté que les cryptomonnaies peuvent faire partie d'un contrat d'investissement, mais cela ne signifie pas qu'elles seront toujours classées comme telles.
