Selon des sources officielles, YZi Labs a annoncé un investissement dans Renewal Bio, une société de médecine régénérative qui utilise la technologie de la biologie du développement pour générer des cellules et des tissus humains correspondant à l'ADN à partir de cellules souches pluripotentes dérivées de patients.
Renewal Bio répond aux pénuries mondiales d'organes et de cellules grâce à sa plateforme de développement Stembroid, capable de générer des cellules et des tissus humains parfaitement adaptés génétiquement à l'ADN du donneur pour la transplantation.
Ce nouveau cycle de financement accélérera le développement préclinique des cellules souches hématopoïétiques (CSH) dérivées de Stembroid pour la leucémie et les troubles immunitaires, et élargira la recherche sur les cellules hépatiques, cardiaques et pancréatiques.
