Il co-fondatore di AllianceDAO, Wang Qiao, ha dichiarato che l'obiettivo prudenziale di ZEC è raggiungere il 3% - 5% della capitalizzazione di mercato di BTC, poiché i detentori di BTC destineranno parte delle proprie risorse a ZEC come strumento di copertura; l'obiettivo più ambizioso è raggiungere il 15% - 20% di BTC, ovvero il livello di cambio dell'argento rispetto all'oro.
Wang Qiao ritiene inoltre che, in caso di evento catastrofico per BTC, come una massiccia vendita da parte di Saylor o un attacco quantistico, ZEC avrebbe l'opportunità di superare BTC. ZEC è cresciuto di oltre il 25% nell'ultimo mese, con una capitalizzazione di mercato superiore a 10 miliardi di dollari. Al momento della stesura, la capitalizzazione di mercato di ZEC è pari a 10,9 miliardi di dollari, mentre quella di Bitcoin è di circa 1,54 trilioni di dollari. Se ZEC riuscisse a realizzare questa previsione, ci sarebbe ancora un potenziale di crescita di 3 - 6 volte.
