BlockBeats News, 2 gennaio, BlackRock ha sottolineato nel suo "2026 Global Market Outlook" che le stablecoin sfideranno il controllo dei governi nazionali sulla valuta fiat. Con la crescente adozione delle stablecoin, c’è il rischio di ridurre l’uso delle valute nazionali dei mercati emergenti. Poco prima che questa previsione fosse rilasciata, Standard Chartered Bank nel Regno Unito aveva avvertito a ottobre che la diffusa adozione delle stablecoin avrebbe potuto portare alla perdita di oltre 1.000 miliardi di dollari in depositi dai conti bancari dei mercati emergenti.

Sfide simili esistono anche nel settore bancario statunitense. La pietra miliare stablecoin nota come "Innovation Act", entrata in vigore nel luglio di quest'anno, consente alle società di criptovalute di offrire servizi bancari che alle banche tradizionali è vietato fornire, rappresentando una minaccia per le istituzioni finanziarie tradizionali.
