Secondo Jinshi News, il presidente della Fed di St. Louis Bullard ha dichiarato che vi è una significativa incertezza riguardo alle prospettive dell'economia statunitense e alla politica monetaria. Ritiene che i rischi associati all'attuale inflazione stiano aumentando rispetto a quelli sull'occupazione. Bullard ha sottolineato che l'inflazione è significativamente superiore all'obiettivo del 2% e che i rischi sono più orientati verso l'inflazione piuttosto che verso l'occupazione.
Ha menzionato che il tasso di riferimento della Fed è attualmente a un livello neutrale, forse leggermente orientato verso un allentamento, e che esiste uno scenario plausibile per il mantenimento dell'attuale tasso, sebbene possano rendersi necessari ulteriori tagli o aumenti dei tassi.
