Secondo The Block, l'ex ricercatore della Ethereum Foundation Dankrad Feist ha pubblicato un post sulla piattaforma X, proponendo la creazione di una nuova organizzazione allineata con l'economia di Ethereum per "salvare" Ethereum. Egli ritiene che la Ethereum Foundation detenga attualmente meno dello 0,1% di ETH, senza entrate da staking o commissioni, pertanto la nuova organizzazione dovrebbe raccogliere almeno 1 miliardo di dollari di finanziamenti, gestiti da leader competenti, con una parte dei fondi proveniente dai proventi dello staking e guidata da un consiglio di amministrazione più responsabile per sostenere il prezzo di Ethereum.
Feist ha lasciato la fondazione l'anno scorso per unirsi alla rete Layer 1 Tempo. È stato co-creatore del design di shard Danksharding nella comunità di Ethereum per migliorare la scalabilità di Layer 2, è stato nominato consulente strategico in aree come la scalabilità L1 e l'esperienza utente durante la ristrutturazione della leadership della fondazione, e ha proposto l'EIP-9698, che aumenterebbe il limite di Gas di 100 volte.
