Secondo Bitcoin News, il deputato statunitense Nick Begich ha presentato l'"U.S. Reserve Modernization Act", che conta già 16 co-sponsor originali. Il disegno di legge istituirà una riserva strategica di Bitcoin, integrerà le risorse digitali detenute a livello federale e le vincolerà come asset di riserva a lungo termine per almeno 20 anni.
Il disegno di legge esplora inoltre strategie di acquisizione di Bitcoin a impatto neutro sul bilancio, proteggendo al contempo le riserve da futuri tentativi di liquidazione da parte del governo e del Congresso.
