China Establishes International Alliance Against Telecom Network Fraud

China announced the establishment of the "International Alliance Against Telecom Network Fraud" in Lianyungang, Jiangsu. The founding conference was attended by representatives from 46 founding countries, 34 observer countries, and four international organizations, including the United Nations and Interpol. A joint statement was issued, confirming that telecom network fraud has become a global public nuisance. The parties decided to establish a more focused, professional, and action-oriented intergovernmental international organization based on future international conventions, serving as a platform for cooperation among law enforcement agencies of various countries. The core function will be to combat transnational telecom network fraud and related crimes, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens and institutions in all countries.
