Former U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Chris Giancarlo stated in an interview with Bitcoin Magazine that government spending expansion and currency devaluation have made Bitcoin's value proposition more prominent. He believes that Bitcoin's scarcity makes it digital gold and has the potential to become a future monetary anchor. Giancarlo pointed out that the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes and the rising scale of U.S. debt reinforce the value logic of Bitcoin. He mentioned that the failure of the CLARITY Act does not affect the development of Bitcoin, as the trend towards tokenized currency is irreversible, with an expectation that all securities issuance will be tokenized by 2036. Regarding stablecoins, Giancarlo discussed the GENIUS Act and its impact on the demand for U.S. Treasury bonds, reflecting on his interest in Bitcoin after the 2008 financial crisis and his experience being dubbed the "Crypto Dad."
