JPMorgan Evaluates Launching Its Own Stablecoin
JPMorgan has recently evaluated the launch of its own stablecoin. As one of the largest banks in the world, the bank is exploring institutional-level blockchain payments and tokenization applications through its blockchain platform, Kinexys, and has introduced digital asset solutions for institutional clients. JPMorgan, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Santander are advancing the establishment of a global stablecoin alliance to explore a stablecoin infrastructure supported by major financial institutions. The alliance plans to collaborate on stablecoins issued or supported by banks, aiming to meet the needs of global payments, cross-border settlements, and digital asset transactions. Currently, the related plans are still in the exploratory stage, and the specific structure and technical roadmap have yet to be finalized.
