Shiba Inu's Official Account Shares Third-Party Meme Tokens
Shiba Inu's official X account has made posts highlighting third-party meme tokens with low market value instead of the SHIB token, despite having 3.8 million followers. The account claimed that a lesser-known frog-themed token was better than PEPE and shared the smart contract address of the related token. Additionally, it promoted another meme coin launch platform. This situation raises security concerns. In periods of low volume in the cryptocurrency market, it is expected that large projects direct their communities towards their own products, making Shiba Inu's such posts noteworthy. Three possibilities have emerged: the posts could be part of a commercial agreement, some executives might be using this account for personal gain, or the account could have been compromised. Investors need to be cautious about links shared through the official account and avoid unverified links. So far, no official names, including Shytoshi Kusama, have clarified the situation.
