Ukrainian-American Fund Approves Investments Exceeding 60 Million Dollars
The Ukrainian-American Recovery Fund (URIF) has approved an investment package in energy, critical minerals, and dual-use technologies totaling over 60 million dollars. These investments are expected to attract up to one billion dollars in additional capital from investors for projects in the specified areas. Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yegor Perelygin noted that the new solutions aim to diversify supply chains and deepen partnerships between the countries. URIF, in collaboration with the Ukrainian company BGV Group Management, will create a platform for investments in mining projects focused on rare earth elements, uranium, beryllium, and zirconium. The fund will also invest in a distributed heat and electricity generation project for communities and finance DTEK's project to create energy storage systems with a capacity of 200 MW at six sites. URIF is a key element of the economic partnership between the USA and Ukraine, established to attract private capital and create strategic investment opportunities.
