The Ukrainian government has submitted three draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada aimed at attracting international financing and covering the budget deficit. Prime Minister Serhiy Korytskyi stated that the draft laws concern the operations of the National Securities Commission, "Ukrzaliznytsia," and the High Qualification Commission of Judges. Korytskyi emphasized the seriousness of the budget deficit situation and the need for collaborative work with lawmakers. Since the beginning of September, the government has already submitted eight draft laws to parliament for international assistance, which must be adopted by November 1. He urged lawmakers to support the draft laws to stabilize finances and ensure funding for defense and social expenditures. Earlier, the Cabinet sent four draft laws to the Rada to fulfill obligations to the EU and the IMF, which is a condition for receiving the third tranche of macro-financial assistance amounting to €1.45 billion. The Cabinet also re-approved two draft laws regarding the taxation of international parcels valued up to €150.
