Drift Protocol повідомив у соцмережі X, що після відновлення роботи протоколу користувачі, які розмістили активи в страховому фонді, зможуть нормально вивести свої частки. Страховий фонд призначений для підтримки платоспроможності протоколу у разі ліквідації або банкрутства. Оскільки протокол було призупинено до того, як збитки були покриті через звичайні процедури ліквідації чи банкрутства, страховий фонд не постраждав від пов'язаних вразливостей або атак.
Drift Protocol додав, що активи власного страхового фонду протоколу будуть використані для підтримки перезапуску системи та відновлення користувачів. Також планується публічне розкриття відповідних ончейн-адрес, щоб спільнота могла відстежувати використання коштів та подальше розгортання.
