Secondo Yahoo Finance, Nigel Farage, leader del Reform Party nel Regno Unito, ha investito nella società btc-42">Bitcoin Stack BTC, quotata a Londra. Farage ha acquistato 4,3 milioni di azioni a 5 pence ciascuna tramite la sua società Thorn In The Side Ltd, acquisendo una quota del 6,31% in Stack BTC, valutata 3,4 milioni di sterline. Questo round di finanziamento da 260.000 sterline ha visto anche la partecipazione della società di criptovaluteBlockchain.com in qualità di investitore strategico.
Stack BTC è presieduta dall'ex Cancelliere dello Scacchiere Kwasi Kwarteng e prevede di costruire un portafoglio di imprese britanniche detenendo al contempo riserve di Bitcoin. Blockchain.com si è registrata come azienda di cripto-attività presso la FCA all'inizio di quest'anno e collaborerà con Stack per sviluppare una strategia di riserva in Bitcoin. Farage ha dichiarato di essere da tempo uno dei pochi sostenitori politici di Bitcoin nel Regno Unito, convinto che Londra debba diventare un importante hub globale per le criptovalute.
