Ant Group launches financial model Ling-3.0-flash-Fin, open source next week

Ant Group has launched the financial model Ling-3.0-flash-Fin, focusing on real financial work. This model is based on Ling-3.0-flash, featuring a total of 124 billion parameters and approximately 5.1 billion active parameters, with added financial data training and tool invocation optimization. The model can retrieve information, read annual reports, conduct investment research and valuation, and directly handle Excel financial models. The model weights will be open-sourced next week. In an official demonstration, the model processed a Google Q2 2026 financial sheet, which included 7 worksheets and over 5,000 formulas, capable of updating actual data, adjusting formulas, refreshing cross-sheet references, and charts. In another task, the model invoked tools 23 times in succession to find historical disclosures of Google’s monthly token usage, verifying sources, dates, and statistical standards. The official comparison with models such as GPT-5.6-Sol, Claude Opus 5, Gemini 3.7 Flash, and Kimi K3 showed that while it may not be the best in every category, it has surpassed some flagship models in certain Finance Agent tasks. In terms of general capabilities, the AA Intelligence Index score improved from 38 in the basic version to 41. The model is currently available for free use on OpenRouter and Vercel AI Gateway.
