The Bankr developer deployer stated that their Bankr X account was attacked, leading to the exposure of their real name due to the hacker "opening an account." The deployer has published the Ethereum proposal EIP-2309, which is an optional extension to ERC-721 that standardizes the "consecutive transfer" event, allowing for the efficient creation, transfer, or destruction of consecutively numbered NFTs in a single transaction, enhancing the scalability of batch operations. Sean Papanikolas, before founding Bankr, served as a senior software engineer at Payward, the parent company of Kraken, from 2021 to 2022, and briefly worked as a senior software engineer at OpenSea in 2023.
