Base App Official Twitter Account Unfollows Co-Founder Jesse
On August 22, it was suspected that the official Twitter account of Base App has unfollowed co-founder Jesse, sparking discussions among multiple cryptocurrency users who shared related screenshots. This incident occurred after Jesse's strategic adjustments in mid-July, where he publicly acknowledged that Base's bets on on-chain social and creator tokens had failed. Subsequently, he handed over the leadership of Base App back to Coinbase, with Cobie taking over, while Jesse focused on the development of the Base chain, aiming to establish it as a global financial blockchain. Since then, Base App has further shifted towards a trading-first and multi-chain direction.
