Bitwise Reviews Tokenization of Solana Staking ETP BSOL

Bitwise and Superstate are exploring the tokenization of the Solana staking product BSOL. Investors can choose between traditional ledger-based shares and tokenized assets recorded on the blockchain. BSOL is a Solana staking ETP managed by Bitwise, with a net asset value of $591,667,190 as of July 28, and a Solana holding of 8,055,464.69 tokens. Currently, the staking ratio is 97%, and the sponsor fee is 0.20%. Tokenization involves recording fund shares or security rights on the blockchain, differing from the traditional ledger-based methods used by existing financial institutions. Bitwise is collaborating with Superstate to gain experience in managing tokenized funds, and the review of BSOL aims to explore the possibility of expanding it into a listed cryptocurrency product. Superstate's FundOS is a platform that moves private equity, mutual funds, and ETFs on-chain. The risk disclosure for BSOL includes various factors such as Solana price volatility, liquidity issues, and regulatory changes.
