BlackRock Purchases $1.16 Billion in Ethereum in 15 Days
BlackRock bought $1.16 billion worth of ETH over fifteen days and then paused further purchases. The last day yielded no additional inflow, and clients have also not sold anything since mid-August. A day without inflow indicates a pause in demand, not a shift in sentiment. The ETH already purchased by the fund remains with a custodian and will only return to the market when clients redeem their shares. GPT-5 predicts an altcoin bull run in the fourth quarter, led by Ethereum, provided that inflows resume and Bitcoin's dominance decreases. In just one day, $296.8 million in stablecoins flowed into Ethereum, more than on other blockchains. These stablecoins represent purchasing power that has yet to be spent. A fivefold increase in the ETH price to above $12,000 by the end of 2026 requires more than fifteen days of buying. Key factors include the resumption of daily demand, Bitcoin's dominance, the inflow of stablecoins, and the supply of ETH.
