Chainlink Partners with Swift Bottomline to Support Cross-Chain Payments

Chainlink has announced a strategic partnership with Swift service providers. Under the collaboration, Chainlink will provide an interoperability and orchestration layer that connects Bottomline's existing payment infrastructure with both public and private blockchains. The Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) is responsible for the secure transfer of tokenized value across chains, while the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE) manages the end-to-end coordination of payment workflows. This initiative allows Bottomline's banking clients to continue using the existing ISO 20022 messaging standard, accessing on-chain payment channels through a single, network-agnostic connection.
