Crédit Mutuel Arkéa has confirmed that it was attacked, resulting in fraudulent transactions. The bank stated that the incident has been brought under control, and clients have not suffered any financial losses, although the specific amount of losses has not been disclosed. On-chain investigator ZachXBT estimates that at least $133 million was involved. The attackers first transferred fiat currency out, then funneled it through "money mule" accounts to platforms like Crypto.com, converting it into crypto assets for money laundering. Bitquery data shows that $62.98 million in stablecoins was swapped for 27,553 ETH via UniswapX within four hours, with some funds converted into Monero (XMR). Kraken has restricted related accounts, and Crypto.com has frozen the associated funds.
