Decline in Prices of Rapeseed, Soybeans, and Sunflower in Ukraine

In Ukraine, there is a decrease in purchase prices for oilseeds due to shelling of port infrastructure. Prices for rapeseed have fallen to 20,000–21,000 UAH/ton, sunflower has decreased from 32,000–33,000 UAH/ton to 27,000–29,000 UAH/ton, and soybean has dropped to 18,000–19,000 UAH/ton. Traders are seeking alternative export routes through the western border; however, rising logistics costs continue to pressure domestic prices. The global market is also witnessing a decline in soybean and rapeseed prices due to increased supply from the new harvest. November soybean futures in Chicago fell by 4% to $437 per ton. Soybean imports to China in June 2026 increased by 15% to 13.55 million tons. Brazil's soybean harvest for the 2025/26 marketing year is expected to reach 180 million tons, with exports potentially rising to 115 million tons. A decrease in shipments from Ukraine by 1–2 million tons will not significantly impact global prices.
