European Cryptocurrency Investors Turn to Prop Trading Firms as Demand for Funded Accounts Grows

In 2026, an increasing number of European traders will join cryptocurrency trading firms (prop or proprietary trading). These firms, known as prop firms, provide traders with access to large trading capital. To qualify, a trader must first undergo a paid evaluation. The demand for funded accounts is steadily rising across the continent, with Central Europe being one of the most active regions.

A Market Worth Over $20 Billion

According to expert estimates, the cryptocurrency trading market surpassed $20 billion in 2025. The model behind this growth is simple. A trader pays a fee to participate in the evaluation. The evaluation tests discipline, risk management, and profitability according to established rules. Traders who pass the evaluation receive an account backed by the firm's capital. In return, the firm retains a portion of the profits.

For many retail investors, such a structure lowers the barrier to entry. They can trade with significantly larger capital than they have in personal savings. The risk they take is limited to the evaluation fee.

Central Europe plays a significant role in this industry. Many well-known firms with proprietary capital have emerged in the region. Among retail investors in Poland, the Czech Republic, and neighboring countries, there is also a strong culture of trading with proprietary capital. For this audience, the latest industry news comes from their immediate surroundings.

Prague's HyroTrader Wins Global Award

HyroTrader, a cryptocurrency firm based in Prague, Czech Republic, has been recognized as the best stock trading firm in the Prop Trading category at the CoinGape Web3 Innovation Awards 2026. The award was given by an independent jury that included representatives from Polygon Labs, Visa, Beldex, Shirplink, and Liminal Custody.

For Central European entrepreneurs, this is a regional success. The Czech firm competed with companies from around the world and won a global industry title.

Samuel Drnda, CEO of HyroTrader, commented on this recognition: "This award reflects the standard we set for ourselves from day one: reliable execution of stock transactions, clear rules, and payouts that traders can verify."

How the HyroTrader Model Works

The HyroTrader platform was established in 2022. Traders on the platform trade on their own Bybit accounts via a secure API connection. This means that orders are executed on a real exchange, in actual market conditions, rather than in a simulated environment. Traders have access to over 700 cryptocurrency pairs. HyroTrader offers accounts with capital up to $200,000, with the possibility of increasing to $1,000,000 for consistently profitable traders.

The profit-sharing model favors the trader. Investors with funds in their accounts retain 80-90% of the generated profits. Payouts are processed within 12-24 hours and sent in USDT or USDC. Since payouts are transfers in stablecoins, traders can verify them on the blockchain.

The numbers behind the platform show the scale of this model. The firm has paid out over $5 million to more than 1,700 traders who benefited from funding. The test fee is refunded with the first payout, so a successful trader recovers the cost of the evaluation.

What’s Next?

HyroTrader is also delving deeper into on-chain infrastructure. In July 2026, the firm announced the Hyro Protocol, an on-chain prop trading protocol based on Solana. This project indicates a broader trend in the sector. Industry observers expect that two factors will determine which firms attract European traders in the coming years: transparency and fast stablecoin payouts.

The award for the Prague-based firm shows that Central Europe is not just a market for funded trading. It is also a place where these firms are being established. With the growing demand for funded accounts, this region is likely to maintain its position in the global cryptocurrency trading market.

Funded trading involves evaluation fees and trading risks, and the results depend on each trader's performance.
