Evernorth Delays Nasdaq Debut to October 12

Evernorth Holdings, backed by Ripple, has postponed its Nasdaq debut due to an administrative issue disclosed on October 6. The new expected date for trading under the ticker XRPN is now October 12. The company is going public through a merger with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. The original plan aimed for a close on October 7 and a debut on October 8. Evernorth stated that the delay is purely administrative and will not affect the closing. Armada II shareholders approved the merger on September 30. Upon closing, Evernorth anticipates holding approximately 473 million XRP and around 300 million gross cash proceeds, making it the largest publicly traded pure-play XRP treasury company. Despite the delay, XRP's price fell nearly 2% due to a liquidity flush affecting the market, though fundamental indicators for XRP remain bullish with 12 consecutive weeks of inflow into XRP ETFs. Analysts note that the listing does not create new buying pressure for XRP, as the backing already exists. A successful XRPN launch could provide traditional investors with a regulated equity vehicle focused on XRP holdings, potentially widening the buyer base over time.
