Firmus has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership with OpenAI, which will supply dedicated AI computing power for Firmus's two AI factories in Malaysia, becoming its anchor client. This collaboration brings Firmus's total contracted computing capacity to over 900 megawatts. Firmus operates seven AI factories in Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, with two already in operation and five under construction, set to be commissioned over the next 24 months. The relevant AI factories will deploy NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 system and utilize the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory platform along with Firmus's self-developed HyperCube liquid cooling infrastructure. OpenAI stated that the new data center in Malaysia will help meet the growing product demand in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
