Foreign Investors Net Sell 49.336 Trillion Won of Korean Stocks in June, Holding Value Reaches Record High

According to data from the Financial Supervisory Service of Korea, foreign investors net sold 49.336 trillion won of listed stocks in Korea in June, marking six consecutive months of net selling. The main board market saw a net sell of 50.979 trillion won, while the ChiNext market recorded a net buy of 1.643 trillion won. As of June this year, foreign investors have cumulatively net sold 116.3563 trillion won, exceeding last year's total net sell amount by ten times. Despite the large-scale sell-off, as of the end of last month, the total balance of listed stocks held by foreign investors amounted to 2908.639 trillion won, an increase of 56.3 trillion won from the previous month, with their share accounting for 36.4% of the market value.
