Hyperscale Data has announced the implementation of a Bitcoin collateralized decentralized finance financing strategy through the Morpho protocol. As of August 2, the company has secured approximately $30 million in Bitcoin collateralized loans through this protocol, with a current floating interest rate of about 4.9%. The loans are collateralized by a portion of the company's Bitcoin holdings, and the funds raised will be used to support the construction of an AI data center park in Michigan and for general corporate purposes such as operating capital, while the company retains long-term ownership of the Bitcoin used as collateral. Hyperscale Data's Executive Chairman Milton Todd Ault III stated that Bitcoin has become a strategic financial asset that can generate liquidity without sacrificing ownership. The company will continue to maintain a prudent balance between uncollateralized Bitcoin and Bitcoin collateralized loans to provide funding flexibility for growth opportunities, such as the expansion of the Michigan data center.
