Iranian Speaker Warns of Risks to U.S. Energy Facilities
On September 7, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf stated that Iran's oil and gas production chain is widespread, easily accessible, and lacks protection, making U.S. oil and gas enterprises in related waters and facilities equally at risk. Qalibaf warned that if the U.S. attacks Iranian energy assets, its own related assets could also face retaliation, asserting that Iran "has already proven this," and urged the outside world to inquire about those "bases that can no longer operate."
