Jeff Yew Plans to Establish a Tech Park in Malaysia

Jeff Yew is considering establishing a tech park within the "Forest City" project in southern Malaysia, reviving the vacant site of the "Network School" that was closed due to controversy. The school, founded by former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan, attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs but was shut down by authorities in July this year due to issues such as Israeli students violating immigration regulations. Yew's new proposal will adopt a "Malaysia First" approach, focusing on attracting overseas talent and nurturing local entrepreneurs, with the goal of transforming Johor into a "digital hub" for artificial intelligence, blockchain, and computer science. His team has already initiated preliminary contact with Srinivasan's side, although specific plans have yet to be finalized.
