Former Cyworld Jet CEO Kim Ho-kwang revealed that materials are circulating that induce the purchase of the unlisted virtual asset RYSEN using the Cyworld brand. At a press conference on the 14th, he stated that he received reports that materials encouraging the purchase of RYSEN were being distributed in Cyworld open chat rooms. Currently, the Cyworld business is being promoted by the blockchain company Sigma Chain, which plans to reorganize it into a Web3-based service after acquiring Cyworld this year. Kim disclosed a report titled 'Request for Investigation into Inducement of Deceptive Investment Using RYSEN and Sigma Chain Cyworld' and plans to ask the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service to investigate whether there are unfair trading practices in digital assets. He pointed out that expressions related to exchange listings and price forecasts included in the materials are problematic, mentioning that there are contents that can identify specific digital asset exchanges and phrases like 'scheduled for listing in August' and 'target price of 100,000 won.' He also raised concerns about the operational structure of RYSEN and issues regarding personal information processing, explaining that the entity operating the RYSEN website is displayed differently. Right after the press conference, it was also revealed that the KakaoTalk open chat room related to RYSEN that Kim pointed out had been shut down.
