McDonald's in Ukraine is not changing its restaurant operations due to the introduction of a new air raid alert level system. The company's press service reported that restaurants continue to operate as usual while assessing how the new system will affect the safety of operations. The safety of employees and customers remains a priority. All restaurants adhere to enhanced safety protocols: in the event of an air raid alert, operations are temporarily halted to allow staff and visitors to take shelter, and service resumes after the alert is lifted. Employees receive full pay regardless of the time spent in shelter. McDonald's opened in Ukraine on May 24, 1997, and currently has 130 establishments in 43 locations, employing nearly 11,000 people. In 2025, the company's revenue amounted to 21.3 billion UAH, which is 26.6% more than the previous year, while net profit increased by 21.3% to 1.567 billion UAH. McDonald's paid 3.5 billion UAH in taxes to the state budget. Recently, the 130th restaurant of the chain opened in Uman.
