MEXC Enhances AML and CTF Compliance with LSEG's World-Check Implementation

MEXC has announced the implementation of the London Stock Exchange Group's (LSEG) risk screening solution, World-Check, to establish an anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) compliance system at the level of global financial institutions. World-Check is a database used by major financial institutions that provides real-time screening and verification capabilities. With this implementation, MEXC will apply the compliance infrastructure of traditional finance to its digital asset trading platform. The system is designed to identify politically exposed persons (PEPs) and monitor crime-related reports, enabling the proactive identification of potential risk individuals. MEXC plans to transition to a prevention-focused security system, identifying risk factors during the onboarding of new users and conducting continuous monitoring of existing accounts. MEXC CEO, Bugar Usin, stated, "The introduction of LSEG's World-Check has set a new standard for compliance and transparency." Michael Meaden, Director of LSEG Asia-Pacific, remarked, "With the maturation of the digital asset market, MEXC has strengthened its capabilities in identifying risk individuals and assessing new users."
