Midjourney Completes Acquisition of Co-Star
Prefer us on GoogleAI image generation company Midjourney has acquired the social astrology app Co-Star, with specific transaction terms yet to be disclosed. This marks Midjourney's first acquisition since its establishment. Co-Star currently boasts approximately 4.3 million monthly active users, primarily helping users generate personal astrology birth charts and share them with friends within the app. The application combines artificial intelligence with a human team to provide users with horoscope insights, compatibility analysis, and other astrological advice. All 24 employees from the Co-Star team have joined Midjourney, with founder Banu Guler now serving as Midjourney's Chief Design Officer, and a cross-functional design, product, and front-end team has been reassembled under her leadership, while the Co-Star app will continue to operate under Banu's direction.
