Military Personnel Allowed to Sign New Motivational Contracts

Military personnel can sign new motivational contracts without waiting for the current one to expire. The new contract takes effect from the date specified in the personnel order, while the previous one ceases to be valid. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine clarifies the system of new motivational contracts, which offer updated conditions for monetary compensation and guarantees after service. Contracts can be for 10 or 24 months, depending on the position and unit. Military personnel must submit a report to transition to the new conditions, which will be reviewed within 14 days. The new contract is only formalized with the unit where the military personnel is serving. Guarantees include training upon appointment to a new position, professional development, and career advancement. Payments include a one-time assistance payment, monthly monetary compensation, combat rewards, and social benefits. The contract can only be terminated early for specific reasons. Three months before the contract ends, military personnel must notify the command of their intention to extend their service.
