Morgan Stanley released a research report indicating that Xiaomi Group will announce its Q2 earnings on August 18, expecting strong performance in smartphone shipments and gross margin. The group’s quarterly total revenue is projected to exceed 100 billion yuan, with a recurring net profit of approximately 6 billion yuan. According to Omdia data, Xiaomi's smartphone shipments in Q2 reached 31.2 million units, exceeding expectations by 15%. Benefiting from a record high average selling price and resilient shipment volumes, the smartphone gross margin is expected to remain above 8% in Q2, primarily reflecting the pass-through effect of rising costs. The firm maintains an "overweight" rating on Xiaomi with a target price of 32 HKD.
