NBU Expands Currency Operations for Non-Bank Services
The National Bank of Ukraine has expanded the list of currency operations for non-bank payment service providers. Clients will be able to pay for purchases and services abroad, receive international transfers to their hryvnia accounts, and Ukrainian businesses will be able to accept payments from foreign clients. Individuals will be able to pay for goods and services abroad using cards issued by non-bank providers, with a limit of 200,000 UAH per month. Additionally, transfers from abroad in foreign currency can be credited to hryvnia accounts, which will be converted into hryvnia. The changes also affect businesses: Ukrainian companies will be able to receive payments from non-residents to their hryvnia accounts, including card payments and transfers from foreign accounts. Previously, the NBU authorized 14 non-bank institutions to provide acquiring services.
