Onramps and Bridges Disappear as Crypto Payment Apps Integrate

There are predictions that onramps and bridges will disappear. As the payment experience is integrated into applications, users will no longer be aware of the blockchain processes, according to analysis. Alex Fine, CEO of Fun, stated, "The era of onramps is over, and external bridge sites will also disappear." He emphasized that what users want is simply to use the application. Currently, Fun handles 100% of deposits and withdrawals for Polymarket, with a monthly transaction volume of approximately $3 billion. Fine pointed out that the cryptocurrency payment system is overly fragmented and should be designed around 'rapid capital inflow' rather than as a payment method. He also explained that user verification processes should differentiate based on usage history and asset size. While prediction markets and tokenized assets are considered key growth areas in the crypto industry, he added that they are currently only at about 10% of their potential. The cryptocurrency industry is gradually evolving into 'invisible technology,' and payments and asset transfers are expected to be processed seamlessly within apps.
