By: www.reuters.com|11/03/2026 23:17:45

The NFA has approved Polymarket's subsidiary PM Derivatives LLC to operate as a futures commission merchant (FCM). This subsidiary has met all the requirements for FCM registration, but it still needs to obtain approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to actually commence futures brokerage operations. If approved, PM Derivatives will be able to act as an intermediary to receive customer orders and funds. Polymarket stated that this subsidiary plans to adopt a full collateral model, requiring customers to provide sufficient funds for the entire position at the time of the transaction. Currently, the CFTC is still investigating Polymarket.
